The Kansas EMS Association invites those interested in contributing to EMS in Kansas to submit proposals for presentation for the 2012 Annual Conference scheduled for August 9-12, 2012 at the Wichita Marriott in Wichita, Kansas.

Conference Information

The KEMSA “Last Blast of Summer” Conference is the premier educational event of the year for EMS personnel. It provides attendees with extensive amounts of continuing education hours, social and entertainment events, networking, and much more! The conference includes a pre-conference day on Thursday to allow for more CE hours and hands-on learning. The main conference days are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until 12:30 pm. Regular conference days include general sessions, breakout sessions, and EM2S sessions.

What is EM2S?
EM2S Series: Education, Medicine, Mentoring & Sustainability

The EM2S Series is designed to cut to the chase on key issues pertaining to the delivery of emergency medical services. These high impact 23-minute presentations will offer the core concepts of issues that pertain to all Kansas EMS providers in a world that is ever changing and evolving.

If your presentation is selected, you contribute to the advancement of your profession and you gain visibility and recognition as a leader in EMS.

Call for Presentations

The deadline to submit proposals is February 1, 2012. All proposals will be reviewed by KEMSA’s Conference Committee. They will be evaluated by the following guidelines:

  • Practical application of material;
  • Relevance to EMS in Kansas;
  • Timely or innovative topic;
  • Clearly identified objectives;
  • Overall quality & well-defined focus;
  • Availability; and
  • Type of Session.

Proposals that are not complete will not be considered. Notifications will be sent out after the review process has been completed.
